More than 270 student-athletes qualified for an upcoming meet on Sunday, May 17, representing the District as some of the fastest runners and strongest field athletes across the Bay Area and Southeast regions of California.

District student-athletes will compete at Rancho Dominguez Preparatory High School in Long Beach for a chance to qualify for the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation Track and Field Championships.

The top-performing schools from the annual track meet were:

  • 1st Place: Abbott Elementary School – 189 points
  • 2nd Place: Marshall Elementary School – 164 points
  • 3rd Place: Mark Twain Elementary School – 152 points

The event brought together nearly 600 student-athletes and reflected the collective effort of coaches, families and staff who supported student preparation and participation, contributing to a well-executed and spirited meet.
